A Day with Phyllis Tickle Dates: Wednesday, December 5, 2007

Saturday, December 8, 2007
Registration: 8:30 AM; Workshop 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Place: Mercer School of Theology, Garden City, NY
Workshop Fee: $50.00 (includes lunch)

Christianity is at a “hinge of history,” self-described “evangelical Episcopalian,” sociologist and author Phyllis Tickle says. The founding editor of the religion department at Publishers Weekly, a native of Tennessee, and mother of seven, Phyllis will offer us a context for understanding the upheavals, conflicts, and seeming contradictions that are currently swirling around within both Anglicanism and all of the Church. Ms. Tickle will trace as well the ways in which these very same changes are sparking an emergent new Christianity in our century. She will also share with us spiritual insights from her writings on prayer and how this is an important part of our ministry in the present age.

Registrations accepted through the mail, accompanied by a check, or by using a credit card via the Mercer School website –  www.mercerschool.org
